Besides International trade, three brand new systems are introduced: the Ideology system as a late-game social development, the World Congress as a brand new level of diplomatic interaction between civilizations, and the Archaeology system as an exciting new dive into the game's own history. This new expansion provides enhanced depth and replayability through the introduction of international trade and a focus on culture and diplomacy.
